Today was fun! We woke up at about 7.30am and our brekkie was served (scrambled eggs with fake cherries, orange juice and yummy cornflakes (the best thing I have had for breakfast so far) and tea. We then left for the train station to board our 9am train. Once we got there we found out our train was on platform 1 but running half an hour late. The station was very busy, with lots of Indians. Mum made a friend who had pretty glass bracelets.

When we got on the train, Oliver and I lay down on the beds up top in seats 2 and 4 and mum and dad sat looking out of the window in seats 31 and 30 I think. I finished my book, whilst Oliver slept, then I swapped seats with mum and played 20 questions with dad while he fell asleep! I won of course. Lunch consisted of rice and really hot curry, I shared with mum. I also ate some pawpaw and Lays chips. The family opposite us (Indians) were nice to talk to, but laughed at me when the curry burnt my tonsils.

When we FINALLY arrived at Ernakulum (train station for Cochin) after 5 hour train trip, it was spitting with rain AND Indians were spitting as well. We took a luxurious Indian built taxi to our hotel, Kapithan Inn. It is nice.

There is a soccer field opposite with heaps of young 10-16yr old Indian boys playing football. Oliver was first to join in and his fan club followed. I decided (with the peer pressure of some nice boys) to join in and sweated like a pig (it is really humid here). We both had our shoes off, it was one of the best soccer games I have ever played.
