Bangalore Day 1

semi-overcast 25 °C

Tues Dec 9

Rebecca woke early but everyone else adjusting well. Went out looking for breakfast early, kids adjusting to "India" well. Oliver had read in the local paper that today was a public holiday so Bangalore was actually quiet! (as we discovered the next day). The guy at the tourist office was funny, insisted on giving each of us a copy of every brochure so consequently we have thrown out a lot. Supermarket shopping and just walking along soaking it all in. Found a place before dinner where we could buy SIMS cards for our mobiles, needed some photocopying done and a letter from our hotel. Melange happy to do both but it took 55mins to type 3 line letters for Bec and I, the guy always saying '5 more minutes'. Welcome to India!
